Janelle and Matt meet in physics lab and discover their common passion for medicine while attending Indiana University in Bloomington, where Matt earns a degree in Psychology and Janelle a degree in Biology.

Matt and Janelle are married in September 2003 while attending medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago.

Matt and Janelle complete their Family Medicine residency in Littleton, Colorado at Swedish Family Medicine in 2009 and 2010 respectively. The couple is blessed with two sons: Isaac and Eli.

Matt and Janelle work at Denver-area Community Health Centers. They begin to miss the Midwest and decide to move back home. While researching job opportunities in northeast Indiana they stumble upon this cool thing called Direct Primary Care and promptly decide to start their own practice. 

After months of hard work and sweat equity, Cardinal Family Medicine opens its doors to the Huntington County community.

And the rest they say is history.
